According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, the event was added to replace the first Regional Traditional Craft Festival program because it could not take place in March as previously planned.
The hot air balloon festival is jointly organized by SG Chien Thang Services Company and Da Nang International Airport Investment and Exploitation Joint Stock Company. The festival will feature 12 mini hot air balloons, 3 Category 7 hot air balloons, and 2 inflatable hot air balloons. Each Category 7 balloon will hover in one place, while the inflatable balloons will be set up 24/7 for visitors to take photos. The brightly colored hot air balloons shimmering along the Hoai River promise to bring exciting days for tourists visiting Hoi An.
In addition, the festival also features a hot air balloon lantern show including fire dragon performances, guest interaction and communication with hot air balloons…
The National Tourism Year - Quang Nam 2022 features 192 events and activities, including 10 national-level activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other central ministries and agencies. Quang Nam is the main organizer of a series of 62 events and activities under 6 programs throughout 2022, and 120 supporting events and activities organized by 40 provinces and centrally-governed cities. The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year will be held at 7:45 PM on March 26th at Memory Island, Cam Nam Ward, Hoi An City.
