According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, the event was added to replace the first Regional Traditional Craft Festival program because it could not take place in March as previously planned.
The hot air balloon festival is jointly organized by SG Chien Thang Service Company and Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company. The festival will have 12 mini hot air balloons, 3 level 7 hot air balloons and 2 inflatable hot air balloons. Each level 7 hot air balloon flies up and down in one place, while the inflatable hot air balloon will be set up 24/24 for visitors to check in. The colorful hot air balloons on the shimmering Hoai River promise to bring exciting days for visitors to Hoi An.

The National Tourism Year - Quang Nam 2022 has 192 events and activities, of which 10 are national activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ministries, departments and central branches. Quang Nam will host a series of 62 events and activities under 6 programs throughout 2022 and 120 events and activities organized by 40 provinces and centrally run cities. The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year will be held at 7:45 p.m. on March 26 at Hoi An Memories Island, Cam Nam Ward, Hoi An City.
