On September 20, Mr. Vo Le Nhat - Chairman of Hue City People's Committee - said that the city has just approved an investment of 20 billion VND to renovate Thuy Tien Lake Park, which has been abandoned for many years, into a public park.
Accordingly, Thuy Tien Lake Park (Thien An Hill, Hue City) will be landscaped, cleaned, and have its roads and internal electrical system repaired...
According to Mr. Nhat, the investment of 20 billion VND is only enough to renovate a part of the entire Thuy Tien Lake Park. The renovation will aim to open this place into a public park, serving the people.
Thuy Tien Lake Park - an abandoned tourist area known as the "creepy tourist area" in Hue - will be invested in and renovated to become a public park.
Previously in 2017, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province decided to reclaim the land of the Thuy Tien Lake entertainment center project and hand it over to the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment for management after the investor, Haco Hue Company, was no longer capable of completing the project.
Since then, this water park has fallen into disrepair, the structures inside have deteriorated. Many tourists, especially foreigners, when visiting Hue, have come here to check-in as a "creepy, horror" destination.
