The free baggage allowance program will be implemented on 3 routes between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Da Nang, and Vinh. Specifically, in addition to the usual 7 kg of free carry-on baggage, passengers who purchase tickets and depart in groups of 3 or more will receive 1 free checked baggage allowance of 20 kg; groups of 5 or more will receive 40 kg (2 pieces); groups of 7 or more will receive 60 kg (3 pieces); and groups of 9 or more will receive up to 80 kg (4 pieces) of free checked baggage.
Previously, Jetstar Pacific had resumed domestic flights. Besides the main route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, from May 7th, Jetstar Pacific operates one flight per day between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Vinh, and Thanh Hoa. Flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Pleiku, Chu Lai, and Dong Hoi also operate four times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays).
Due to restructuring, Jetstar Pacific flights may be operated by Vietnam Airlines and vice versa in the future, under a codeshare agreement as part of a "dual-brand" strategy to save resources and costs for both airlines in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Specifically, passengers can fly between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on Jetstar Pacific with service standards and quality equivalent to those of Vietnam Airlines flights.
