Groundbreaking ceremony of Vu Yen Island Ecological Project, Hai Phong

Upon completion in 2020, the project will become a key economic center, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and tourism in Hai Phong as well as neighboring areas.

The Vu Yen Island Amusement, Housing and Ecological Park Project has been approved by the Prime Minister with a total area of ​​over 870 hectares, located on the entire island. With a unique location, the intersection of 3 famous rivers: Cam River - Ruot Lon - Bach Dang, the project converges outstanding advantages in terms of transportation, natural landscape and especially diverse ecosystem.

Promoting this special advantage, the project is planned entirely according to the eco-tourism urban model, including the following items: 36-hole international standard golf course; eco-villas; complex entertainment area, eco-park and 1.5 km long cable car system from the mainland to the island.

In particular, the international golf course located in the center of the island will be the highlight attracting high-class tourism to Hai Phong; next is the entertainment area with a modern and attractive shopping area, food court, aquarium, water park... and the north of the island is the riverside ecological villa area.

In particular, with the goal of preserving the natural beauty and biodiversity on the island, a large ecological park is planned adjacent to the Bach Dang River. Here, in addition to friendly outdoor activity locations, close to nature, green spaces for tourism, there will be separate conservation areas to improve the quality of the landscape and awareness of environmental protection.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang - Vice President of Vingroup Corporation said: "Hai Phong is one of the key investment areas of Vingroup Corporation. Along with the Vincom Le Thanh Tong - Hai Phong shopping mall project being implemented, phase 1 of the Vu Yen Island Project will be implemented immediately with the golf course and entertainment area to serve the needs of the people and attract tourists to Hai Phong".

According to the plan, after being fully completed in 2020, the Vu Yen Island Amusement, Housing and Ecological Park project will become an important economic center of the region, creating more jobs, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Hai Phong city and neighboring areas.
