Groundbreaking ceremony of the "super" West Lake project

On the morning of January 21, THT Development Company Limited, invested by Daewoo E&C Group and Korea Development Bank (KDB), officially started the project of Tay Ho Tay Urban Area Center - Phase I.

The urban area is located in the west of West Lake, within the administrative boundaries of Xuan La ward (Tay Ho district), Nghia Do ward (Cau Giay district), Xuan Dinh commune and Co Nhue commune (Tu Liem district). The north of the urban area is a planned road adjacent to the diplomatic area; the south borders Nghia Do area, the east is the area surrounding West Lake; the west borders Hoa Binh park and Huu Nghi park.

Project perspective

The project has a total area of ​​207.6 hectares, of which 89.65 hectares are for roads, walkways, parks, trees, and lakes; more than 25 hectares of the project are for open space serving public activities of Hanoi City and building new headquarters of relocated ministries and branches; the area of ​​46 hectares is for commercial buildings, financial centers, and offices with full modern equipment. It is expected that the project will be formed and put into use in 2016, contributing to the modernization of the capital, and will be a symbol of the cooperative relationship between Korea and Vietnam.

Previously, the project implementation encountered many difficulties, but up to now, Hanoi has approved the adjustment of the 1/500 planning for the project, and the investor has also received a commitment to finance capital from the bank. Therefore, the investor is speeding up the project construction progress.
