Mr. Le Trong Hieu, Director of Office Leasing Department of CBRE Vietnam, gave a presentation on the overview of the office market in Ho Chi Minh City, the total existing supply and new supply in the first quarter of 2018, the office market outlook in 2018 as well as development trends. In addition, Mr. Hieu also gave comments on the needs of office tenants in the near future.

Mr. Le Trong Hieu shared, “The first quarter of 2018 recorded many office leasing transactions with large areas in the central area and non-central districts, focusing on manufacturing, distribution, co-working, information technology, banking and insurance industries. Although there was no new supply entering the market in the first quarter of 2018, a number of investors have been actively implementing the construction of class A and B office building projects to supplement the supply for the period 2019 - 2020, including the Office Tower 1 project of the OneHub Saigon project of Ascendas - Singbridge Group in the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, District 9, which will be put into operation from the first quarter of 2019. This is an area in the priority development planning of Ho Chi Minh City with a series of infrastructure development projects and new urban areas being implemented such as urban railway line No. 1, innovative urban area with the foundation of the national university. Ho Chi Minh City in Thu Duc and Thu Thiem new urban area in District 2.”
