The glamorous Los Angeles in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, is certainly the director’s secret confession of his love for Los Angeles (USA). Along with Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt or Margot Robbie, the city itself becomes a shining star of the film, with landmarks and street corners that captivate viewers.

Quentin Tarantino's latest offering,Once Upon a Time… in Hollywoodis a film set in the 1960s. Filming took place in Los Angeles between June and November 2018, with many Hollywood locations incorporated into the story. While most of the characters had to wear period costumes, use old objects and vehicles to accurately match the time period in the film - there were some locations in the city that did not need such "disguise".

A party scene near the beginning of the film was filmed at the infamous Playboy Mansion, the former home of Hugh Hefner, who lived there from 1975 until his death in 2017. Located in the Holmby Hills neighborhood, the mansion was notorious in the 1970s and 1980s for its numerous reports of wild parties and gatherings of the rich and famous. Today, the Playboy Mansion is used for special events and fashion shoots, as well as film productions.

Cicada Restaurant, located inside the James Oviatt Building in downtown Los Angeles, is a very famous place. El Coyote Mexican Cafe Restaurant

Universal Studios Hollywood is a legendary theme park and film studio that any movie fan needs to visit when in Hollywood. Tarantino used part of the park to create the western setting in the movie. Here, visitors can take a tour of the historic studios that have been the filming location for many Universal classics such asJaws(1975),Psycho(1960) andJurassic Park(1993).

Corriganville Park
