Recently, images of Vietnamese tourists checking in and having fun in France have flooded forums and social networking sites. Having just had a trip to France - Switzerland - Italy, Ha Trang (Quang Ninh) said that she had planned to visit Europe for a long time, but had to postpone it due to the Covid-19 pandemic: "When going to Europe, people often think of France first. After the Covid-19 pandemic, traveling to France is now very convenient, the travel company takes care of all the procedures, and you only need to prepare some basic documents."
The latest data from the Agoda platform also shows that France ranks 3rd in the top 5 international destinations loved by Vietnamese tourists this summer, just behind neighboring destinations Thailand and Singapore. According to data from TradingEconomics, the number of Vietnamese tourists to France started to increase from January 2022 and has increased sharply since April. It is estimated that in June 2022, there were about 237,000 Vietnamese tourists to France, an increase of more than 30% compared to May 2022.

This figure is also consistent with the assessment of outbound tour operators in Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong - General Director of Trang An International Tourism Company (Trang An Travel) said that the number of customers booking European tours has gradually increased since April 2022 and has had a sudden increase in the following months. Of which, France is the most crowded place because this destination has the world's leading attraction, and is also the "gateway" to Europe for Vietnamese tourists.
"France is a place that Vietnamese tourists especially love, so European tours often spend a lot of time in this country. In addition, because France has a more favorable visa policy than other European destinations, plus the demand for foreign travel of Vietnamese people is increasing strongly. Forecasting that the trend of traveling to France will increase, we maintain the departure schedule of France & Europe tours until February next year" - Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong said.
Although Covid-19 prevention regulations have been relaxed, air connectivity between Vietnam and France has not fully recovered, causing tours to France to still have quite high prices compared to before the pandemic. According to some large outbound companies such as Vietravel, Saigontourist, Trang An Travel, Pan American Travel..., the price of European tours including France is currently at no less than 50 million VND/person. Businesses recommend that tourists planning to go to Europe need to plan early to receive reasonable prices and ensure visa approval time.
