Ba Trao singing - an indispensable part of fishing festivals.
The Fishing Festival originates from the worship of Ông Nam Hải (the God of the South Sea) – a long-standing custom of coastal residents from North Central Vietnam to the South, particularly in South Central Vietnam, especially Khánh Hòa. Currently, the Fishing Festival in Khánh Hòa still preserves traditional rituals, including: the procession of the sacred decree, the Nghinh Ông ceremony, the Bá Trạo folk singing, the Tỉnh Sanh ceremony, the Tế Chánh ceremony, the Thứ Lễ and Tôn Vương ceremonies, and the Tống Na ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Xuan Than emphasized: With many traditional art forms, folk performances, folk games, and the fishing festival in Khanh Hoa, it is a festival for coastal villages, having a profound impact on the lives of coastal residents. Preserving and promoting the value of the fishing festival will contribute to preserving traditional culture, educating patriotism, and demonstrating the process of conquering and mastering the sea and islands by the fishing community of Khanh Hoa in particular, and Vietnam in general.
