As the last rays of autumn sun linger, the pinkish-purple hues of buckwheat flowers bloom across the northern highlands, beckoning travelers to embark on a journey to admire the delicate and pristine beauty of this flower.
Held for the first time, this year's buckwheat flower festival will take place from November 12th to 15th in four districts: Dong Van, Meo Vac, Yen Minh, and Quan Ba, with Dong Van town being the main venue. This is also the time when these flowers are in full bloom on the Ha Giang rocky plateau.

Fields of buckwheat flowers are nestled among towering mountains, or peek out from behind ancient traditional houses. In the fleeting autumn mist, the buckwheat blossoms appear ethereal and fairytale-like. Combined with its unique local character, Ha Giang, both poetic and majestic, leaves a lasting impression on anyone who has ever visited.

Besides admiring the beauty of the vast fields of buckwheat flowers, visitors can also immerse themselves in cultural activities within the framework of the festival, such as: enjoying buckwheat flower wine at the "Highland Love" festival, the "Prime Land of Buckwheat Flowers" photo exhibition, the Hmong Flute Festival, etc.
In particular, visitors shouldn't miss the opportunity to enjoy the large, nutritious round cakes made from buckwheat grains, priced at only around 15,000 VND, which are widely sold at the highland markets. Savoring the soft, fluffy cake, the delicate sweetness gradually spreads, as if carrying the very essence of the mountains and forests.
