To facilitate recreational activities and sightseeing for locals and tourists during the Lunar New Year, according to an announcement from the Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board, two historical sites, the Heritage House at 87 Ma May and the historical site at 22 Hang Buom, will be open for free visits from January 28, 2025 (the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon) to January 30, 2025 (the 2nd day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Snake).

Located north of Hoan Kiem Lake, standing modestly on the street of the same name, the ancient house at 87 Ma May Street is not only an architectural and artistic monument but also a "cultural meeting point" in Hanoi.

Accordingly, the opening hours are: Morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM; afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. From January 31, 2025 (the 3rd day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Snake), the two historical sites will resume charging entrance fees as regulated, at a rate of 20,000 VND per person per visit.

In addition, during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Snake 2025, the National History Museum's exhibition system will be closed from January 25th, 2025 (the 26th day of the 12th lunar month) until January 29th, 2025 (the 1st day of the Lunar New Year). The National History Museum will reopen to visitors on January 30th, 2025 (the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year). The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will open on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year with the program "Celebrating the Year of the Snake: The Cultural Flavors of the Muong People in Hoa Binh".

During the Lunar New Year, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giám Cultural and Scientific Activities Center will also organize the Spring Calligraphy Festival 2025, along with exhibitions, folk games, and calligraphy activities to serve the people and domestic and international tourists from January 23rd to February 9th, 2024 (i.e., from the 24th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon to the 12th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Snake).

The Ho Chi Minh City History Museum announced it will be open throughout the Tet holiday. A post on the museum's fanpage stated that Mr. Bao's house (a playful nickname for the Ho Chi Minh City History Museum) will be open throughout Tet and invites visitors to "explore history and cultivate positive seeds for the new year." The museum also noted that on January 27th and 28th (the 28th and 29th of the 12th lunar month), visitors should enter through Gate 2 (the gate next to Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School).

This Tet holiday, the zoo will be open throughout the holiday to serve families and young people. This year, the zoo is launching many beautiful photo spots for photography enthusiasts. You'll be captivated by the colorful lantern-lined paths and the vibrant spring flower gardens. Especially this year, the zoo is organizing a "Lucky Spring Tour" from the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month to the 15th day of the 1st lunar month.
