The program is expected to gather 600 international travel representatives and 100 global press agencies, connecting directly with 400 leading Malaysian tourism suppliers including hotels, tour operators, airlines and many other diverse tourism products. Vietnam will also participate with 27 tourism, travel and media businesses, demonstrating the strong interest of the Vietnamese market in the destination of Malaysia.
Taking place from 1-3 October 2025 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, the three-day event aims to consolidate Malaysia’s position as a leading regional tourism destination, while also paving the way for the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign, which aims to welcome 47 million international visitors.

As part of the programme, delegates will participate in a number of key activities such as Business-to-Business (B2B), Business Matchmaking, Strategic Business Matching Programme and FAM Trips. These experiences are carefully designed to showcase the full range of Malaysian tourism – from unique cultural experiences, exciting eco-journeys, culinary delights to exciting adventure travel.

Sharing about the significance of the event, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture - Mr. YB DatukKhairul Firdaus Akbar Khan emphasized: “Global Travel Meet 2025 is not just an event but also a platform to bring ideas into practice. This is an important catalyst to ignite new energy and create strong momentum to realize the important goals of Visit Malaysia 2026 with the support of the Government, businesses and partners”.

The event was supported by Malaysian airlines such as Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia and Batik Air, in collaboration with key tourism associations including the Malaysia Inbound Chinese Travel Association (MICA), the Malaysia India Travel & Tourism Association (MITTA) and many other strategic corporate partners.
