Anneta Konstantinides is a frequent traveler, here she shares her travel experiences, especially when her luggage is overweight.

Anneta Konstantinides, a California-based travel enthusiast, earns money by sharing her experiences. She often calls herself “the world’s worst packer,” despite “spending her life living on every continent.” She often carries a lot of stuff, but often can’t find what she wants and is always overweight.

When she starts packing for a trip, she often panics at the mountain of stuff on her bed and doesn’t know where to start. One example of poor packing is trying to wear all sorts of clothes at the airport to reduce the weight of her suitcase. And finding something in the mess of luggage is always frustrating.

Anneta Konstantinides is a travel enthusiast.

This summer, she planned to travel for eight weeks, across two continents, three countries, and nine cities. Anneta didn't want that to happen again, so she decided to start packing strategically.

First, she decided to buy a new suitcase, because the old one she had used for more than 10 years had started to fall apart. She chose a large suitcase with a bright color, a hard shell, wheels that could rotate 360 degrees and two internal compartments to help her pack more conveniently. In addition, Anneta also chose to buy a set of six small bags, to pack items into these separate bags and put them in the suitcase.

Neatly packed luggage will be convenient to travel on every trip.

Next, she boldly removed unnecessary items, which she had previously only done when her luggage was overweight. Next, she chose the appropriate types of clothes for each tourist destination. Then, she put each type into separate bags: clothes for the beach, clothes for bars, clothes for luxury places... She would stop putting things in each small bag when it was full. That helped her eliminate a lot of excess things. The same thing happened when she packed makeup, underwear or shoes.

"Packing in small bags also helps me easily find the clothes and items I need immediately, instead of rummaging through my suitcase like before," she said.

The next problem Anneta faces when traveling in the summer is the overcrowding of passengers. Therefore, losing luggage is also more likely to happen. By packing clothes into separate bags, Anneta will know what to wear at her next destination. And she will take that bag out and put it in her carry-on luggage. Thus, losing her suitcase and not having anything to wear at the place she just landed is no longer a haunting or worrying thing. Anneta can relax her mind when boarding the plane for each journey.

Neatly packed bags help her manage what she brings without having too much extra.

"Before I left London for Mallorca, I packed a bag of beach clothes in my carry-on. When I flew back to the US for a wedding, I took my luxury clothes bag with me," she says.

At a time when airlines are charging higher fees than ever for baggage, the benefits of knowing how to pack and remove clothes also help her reduce the weight of her luggage, save money and make it easier to transport.
