Canadian travel site The Travel has named the world's 10 most beautiful destinations for 2022. The list ranges from towering cliffs to crystal-clear glacial lakes, picturesque villages and mysterious temples. "The top destinations show us that this planet is truly a breathtaking place," The Travel writes.

Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) is Vietnam's representative on the list, ranked 5th. The site describes this bay as dotted with more than 1,600 limestone towers and islands covered with tropical greenery. The islands are uninhabited, preserving their wild beauty. "The mysterious landscape seems to be covered by a layer of fog," the site describes.
The best way to experience Ha Long Bay is to take a cruise or kayak through the limestone mountains. Another suggestion for visitors is to visit the caves in the bay, including Thien Cung Cave and Sung Sot Cave. In addition to Ha Long Bay, the Southeast Asian region has Angkor Wat in Cambodia appearing on the list. The remaining destinations are all famous tourist icons in the world, including the salt fields in Bolivia, Venice in Italy, Santorini Island in Greece...
Topping the list is Zhangjiajie National Park in China, which served as inspiration for the famous movie Avatar. Hundreds of towering sandstone columns make this place a "seemingly unreal" place.
