On August 9th, the Klotti amusement park, located in the town of Klotten near the Mosel River in western Germany, reopened. The incident occurred in early August, and the victim was a 57-year-old female passenger. Prosecutors in Koblenz state said the passenger slipped from her seat as The Hot Ride roller coaster went around a curve. She fell from a height of 8 meters and died.
According to prosecutors, the roller coaster has a top speed of 60 km/h and is 550 meters long. At its highest point, the track is 17.5 meters above the ground. The roller coaster remains closed and will only reopen once authorities intervene and confirm it meets the necessary technical requirements for operation. Prosecutors say there are no signs of foul play. They are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
