Central Vietnam attracts tourists during National Day holiday.

The total number of tourists visiting Da Nang during the National Day holiday from September 1st to 4th reached approximately 254,000, an increase of 6.3% compared to 2022. Of these, nearly 78,900 were international tourists and over 175,100 were domestic tourists. The majority were individual travelers, accounting for about 85%. Total tourism revenue is estimated at nearly 915 billion VND.

The number of tourists staying in Da Nang during this period reached approximately 75,500, an increase of 19.7% compared to the same period in 2022. The average room occupancy rate was 50-55%.

The number of river cruise tourists during the 4-day holiday reached approximately 11,300, an increase of nearly 38% compared to the same period in 2022. Several tourist destinations received large numbers of visitors, including Sun World Ba Na Hills with over 47,000 visitors, Asia Park with over 12,000 visitors, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park with approximately 20,000 visitors, Mikazuki Water Park with approximately 12,000 visitors, and the Marble Mountains with approximately 21,000 visitors. In addition, domestic and international tourists also flocked to Con Market, Han Market, and surrounding areas for shopping and dining.

The total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang during this period reached 492, an increase of 66 flights compared to 2022. This includes 293 domestic flights and 199 international flights. On average, there are 122 flights to Da Nang each day.

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the city's tourism industry is organizing many activities and festivals to serve residents and tourists during the National Day holiday, such as: the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival 2023, with the focus on the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2023; the Da Nang Traditional Boat Race on the Han River; the art programs "Shape of the Nation" and "Historical Autumn" at APEC Park; and the film week "Commemorating 165 years of Da Nang's resistance against the French, 76 years of the August Revolution and National Day 2/9" at Le Do Cinema...

Other attractive activities include fire and water displays at the Dragon Bridge; exploring Da Nang at night at Son Tra Night Market, Helio, An Thuong pedestrian street and night market; experiencing a cruise on the Han River; paragliding on Son Tra Peninsula; and cultural and artistic activities regularly organized on both banks of the Han River such as traditional folk singing, street music, solo and ensemble performances of traditional instruments, and street magic. Tourist attractions throughout the city organize many attractive activities and events to serve locals and tourists.

Meanwhile, Quang Nam province's tourism industry estimates it will welcome over 165,000 visitors and overnight stays at destinations within the province during this year's National Day holiday. Specifically, over 116,000 visitors and more than 49,000 overnight stays are expected over the four-day holiday. Of these, over 46,500 are international visitors.

Compared to last year's National Day, the number of visitors to Quang Nam this year decreased slightly, reaching approximately 87% of the same period. However, a positive sign is that the number of international visitors increased by 146% compared to the same period. The most attractive destinations for tourists in Quang Nam remain the ancient town of Hoi An and the My Son temple complex.

In addition, destinations such as Cu Lao Cham, Dong Giang Heaven's Gate eco-tourism area, Phu Ninh Lake eco-tourism area... also welcomed a relatively large number of visitors. The total number of visitors and overnight stays reached over 120,000, estimated to account for 75% of the total number of visitors to Quang Nam during the entire holiday period.

In Khanh Hoa province, the tourism sector recorded a slight increase in the number of visitors to Nha Trang during the National Day holiday on September 2nd this year. The total number of visitors during the four-day holiday reached 503,154, a 141.01% increase compared to the same period in 2022, including 23,450 international visitors.

Tourists visiting Khanh Hoa during this period are concentrated in resorts in the Bai Dai and Doc Let areas, as well as in secluded resorts on the islands, with occupancy rates exceeding 90%. Nha Trang city has an occupancy rate of over 70%, mainly focusing on 3-5 star and equivalent accommodations. The average room occupancy rate for accommodation establishments is approximately 68.69%.
