The park is situated between the traffic lanes on the Phra Pok Klao Bridge, built on the site of the abandoned Lavalin Skytrain railway line, with entrances located at both ends. The pathways are adorned with many tropical plants, suitable for Bangkok's hot weather.

The railway was built in 1984 but was abandoned for over 30 years until the BMA (British Meteorological Administration) came up with the idea of building a park a few years ago. The renovation took a year and cost approximately 130 million baht. The park is like a pedestrian bridge, connecting King Prajadhipok Park on the Phra Nakhon side with Chaloem Phrakiat Forest Park on the Thon Buri side.
BMA hopes the park will help boost tourism in the capital. The park is open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
