Follow Tùng Lê, the young architect behind the Dreamers furniture brand, on a camping trip in Hoàng Liên National Park with his family. After a long period of adhering to social distancing regulations in the capital, this "return to the forest" trip seems to hold even more meaning.

With a core area of 29,845 hectares, encompassing a system of high mountains belonging to the Hoang Lien Son range and the 3,143-meter-high Fansipan peak, Hoang Lien National Park is one of the most pristine and majestic natural destinations in Vietnam. The terrain here is mainly primary forest interspersed with dense tropical high-altitude forests – an ideal place for relaxing camping trips and immersing oneself in nature.

"This is the first time my family and I have camped in Hoang Lien National Park, in a place deep in the forest. Long trips help me balance city life, but during this pandemic, this trip is even more special," Tùng shared with Travellive.

"During the three months of lockdown, confined within four walls, there were inevitably minor conflicts between family members. Importantly, it was then that we realized how demanding the roles of mother and wife are for women. Every day they prepare three meals, teach their children, clean the house, and work – the stress is immense... So, when we had the chance, I took my wife outside to use Mother Nature as a healing remedy."

"It's quite pristine here, everything is mostly untouched, and importantly, it's deep in the forest so it's absolutely quiet."

"Each campsite is different, but what I like about Hoang Lien Son is that it's located on a mountain, offering panoramic views from above; and it's also nestled in an old-growth forest. The best part about this campsite is that it experiences all four seasons in one day, and it even rains at night."

"If I have the chance, I will definitely come back here. Because lying in a tent listening to the rain, there's probably no better remedy."
