9am: Start your day with a delicious breakfast

Start your day full of energy with a quality breakfast at Café Benard (104 Rua Garret). Established in 1912, Café Benard has a strong local presence and is famous for its delicious croissants.
10am: Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Santa Justa Elevator
After leaving the cafe, it is just a five-minute walk to the Santa Justa Elevator (located at the end of Rua de Santa Justa), or the Carmo Elevator, built by Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard, a student of the famous engineer Gustave Eiffel. Although Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard's work is not as famous as his teacher's Eiffel Tower, if you are in Lisbon, you should not miss this place, where you can admire the panoramic beauty of the whole city.

10:30 am: walk from Rua Augusta to Praca do Comercio
The marble-paved Rua Augusta is the main artery of central Lisbon and is home to a number of famous brand stores as well as cafes, tobacco shops and street vendors. At the end of the street is the Rua Augusta Arch, through which you will reach Praca do Comercio (Commerce Square).

11am: take tram 28 past lisbon cathedral to get to São Jorge castle

In other cities, you can visit the main attractions by double-decker bus. But in Lisbon, you can only catch Tram 28, at 28 Rua da Conceicão. The tram will take you through Barrio Alto - the city center, Lisbon Cathedral and to the historic Sao Jorge Castle.
11:30: explore lisbon castle
Lisbon's historic Sao Jorge Castle was officially founded in the 11th century, but the site itself has been used as a fortress since as far back as the 7th century BC. Visit the castle and you'll learn about its rich history as well as enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding areas.

1pm: walk to the city center for lunch
After exploring the castle, take a leisurely stroll downtown instead of taking the tram to see the red-roofed houses in the Alfama district and visit the famous cathedral. Then make your way to Rua dos Sapateiros and find the Bacalhoeiro restaurant (near Rossio Plaza) for a delicious fish lunch.

3pm: Enjoy the famous cake in the suburbs of Belem
From the Arch of Augusta, it takes just 15 minutes by fast tram to reach the suburb of Belem. This suburb is famous for the Jeronimos Monastery and the famous Pasteis de Belem. The Jeronimos Monastery is an imposing structure that took over 40 years to build, and Pasteis de Belem are delicious custard tarts whose recipe is known only to three people.

6:30 pm: wine tasting
After relaxing in Rossio Square, head back to Barrio Alto, which is full of small bars, cafes and restaurants, to start your evening at BA Wine Bar do Barrio Alto on Rua Rosa. This is the perfect place to sip Portuguese wine with a snack before dinner.

8pm: Dinner with steak
It would be a shame to visit Portugal without trying the steak grilled on lava rocks. This dish is special because the raw beef is placed on rocks with many spices for you to grill it yourself. Stop by the Cabacas restaurant on Rua das Gaveas to enjoy this delicious dish and many other specialties.
