According to the Yen Bai Provincial E-Government Portal, on July 22nd, Mu Cang Chai district launched the Khim Noi Homestay Community Cultural Tourism Village, a 4-star OCOP product, in Mu Cang Chai town.
Also at the launch ceremony, Decision No. 3417, dated December 31, 2020, of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province, recognizing Khim Noi Homestay Community Cultural Tourism Village as a 4-star OCOP standard village, comprising 16 family members, was announced.
The Khim Noi Homestay community tourism village, located in residential area No. 5, Mu Cang Chai town, has 86 households, all of whom are ethnic Thai people.
The launch of the Cultural Village will contribute to shifting the labor structure from agricultural production to tourism and trade services; open up opportunities for cultural exchange and interaction between tourists and local communities; and help people raise awareness of environmental protection and preservation of national cultural identity.
In recent years, with the development of the tourism industry, the village has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors each year who come to explore and experience its cultural and tourism services.
The launch of the Cultural Village is also expected to help improve the quality of tourism services, not only welcoming visitors during festivals but also creating a highlight to attract tourists to stay year-round, contributing to job creation and increasing income for homestay businesses.
