According to Yen Bai Provincial Portal, on July 22, Mu Cang Chai district organized the launching ceremony of the 4-star OCOP Khim Noi Homestay Community Cultural Tourism Village in Mu Cang Chai town.
Also at the launching ceremony, Decision No. 3417, dated December 31, 2020 of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province on recognizing the Khim Noi Homestay Community Cultural Tourism Village as meeting 4-star OCOP standards, including 16 family members, was also announced.
Khim Noi Homestay community cultural tourism village is located in residential group 5, Mu Cang Chai town, with 86 households, 100% of whom are Thai ethnic people.
The launch of the Cultural Village will contribute to shifting the labor structure from agricultural production to tourism and trade services; opening up opportunities for cultural exchange between tourists and local communities; helping people raise awareness of environmental protection and preserving national cultural identity.
In recent years, with the development of the tourism industry, each year the village welcomes hundreds of thousands of tourists to visit and experience cultural and tourism services.
The launch of the Cultural Village is also expected to help improve the quality of tourism services, not only welcoming visitors during festivals but also creating a highlight to attract visitors to stay all year round, contributing to job creation and increasing income for homestay service businesses.
