In each episode, viewers will get to "discover the undiscovered" with the notoriously demanding chef Gordon Ramsay. Through this, Chef Ramsay will learn about the daily activities, customs, and distinctive cuisine of each locality.
Although National Geographic has yet to reveal details about the show's content, some online sources have speculated that chef Ramsay will "search for bird's nests in Borneo, Malaysia," "hunt spiders in Cambodia," and compete in cooking contests with locals.

These rumors caused a stir online and forced National Geographic to issue a statement clarifying the situation.
A National Geographic spokesperson said: “We regret to inform you that the information circulating online about Gordon Ramsay’s upcoming show is inaccurate. With National Geographic’s experience producing world exploration programs, we plan to produce a program exploring world cultures. In collaboration with Ramsay – a renowned chef with a passion for travel – we will offer viewers the most authentic glimpse into the cultures and cuisines of different regions around the world. We have not yet begun production on this program, so the recent speculation is incorrect.”
Filming for this program is scheduled to begin this fall and it will air in 2019.
