In developed countries, resort tourism has a long history of successful development, but in Vietnam, the resort tourism sector is still relatively new. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, General Secretary of the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association, in order to develop a successful resort that attracts domestic and international tourists, real estate developers need strategic cooperation with international brands and thereby learn from their management and operational experience. However, to be able to cooperate with large brands, real estate developers must have a sufficiently large scale and scope.
BIM Group is one of the few developers with extensive experience in collaborating with renowned global real estate management and development brands such as InterContinental Hotels Group, Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd, and The Ascott Limited. BIM Group's partnership with Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd has resulted in the Fraser Suites Hanoi luxury apartment complex, located in the heart of Tay Ho District, one of Hanoi's quietest and most luxurious areas, with an occupancy rate consistently above 95%.
BIM has collaborated closely with the leading resort giant, InterContinental Hotels Group. This partnership has helped BIM Group target overseas markets. BIM Group has launched a series of mega-projects such as the first 5-star hotel in Laos - Crowne Plaza Vientiane (already operational), InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort (soon to be operational), and the upcoming development of the first Holiday Inn hotel in Laos.
Furthermore, BIM Group is also a strategic partner of The Ascott Limited, one of the world's largest serviced apartment management groups, which has established a strong position in the Vietnamese real estate market with thousands of high-end hotel rooms and serviced apartments in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Nha Trang, Da Nang, and other locations.
Specifically in Phu Quoc, since 2005, right after the master plan with the orientation of developing it into a large, modern international tourism, resort, and trade center of the entire Mekong Delta region was approved, BIM Group has been involved and contributed to the dramatic transformation of the Pearl Island over the past decades.
With a commitment to contributing to making Phu Quoc a world-class resort paradise, BIM Group has been quite cautious and carefully considered the direction for the Phu Quoc Marina resort complex project, spanning 155 hectares along more than 1km of Truong Beach, the longest white sand beach on the island and famous for its stunning sunsets.
The first component of the project is the InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort, expected to open later this year. As the first InterContinental-branded resort apartment project in Asia offering limited individual ownership and a superior policy of sharing 40% of revenue, the project quickly attracted significant attention from investors and is now preparing for handover.
In early 2017, BIM Group launched its second phase, Phu Quoc Waterfront, featuring 144 townhouses suitable for commercial use and boutique hotels. The project quickly sold out within two months of its release.
Following these successes, most recently, BIM Group signed an agreement with Regent Hotels & Resorts to implement the third component, the Regent Phu Quoc resort, featuring a variety of luxury villas, with a total investment of approximately VND 2,000 billion.

Regent Residences Phu Quoc - Uniqueness and Distinction
Regent Residences Phu Quoc – a collaboration between BIM Group and the Regent Hotels & Resorts brand – is considered to be redefining the 6-star standard of Vietnamese resort tourism. Currently, according to Vietnamese regulations, a 5-star hotel requires basic criteria such as: a minimum of 100 rooms, parking for 50% of the total number of rooms, Asian and European dining rooms, banquet halls, bars; 24/7 service, and high-quality carpeting throughout the bedrooms, corridors, and staircases. However, in reality, Regent-branded hotels and resorts offer unique and perfect services, and world-class experiences that surpass the 5-star standard.
