The "Iron - Lipstick" exhibition space is represented by two main colors, gray and red, corresponding to the two content sections "Iron" and "Lipstick". "Iron" is the story.Flowers in the fiery prisonIntroducing the exemplary stories of nine female fighters who endured harsh prison conditions, including: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Thi Quang Thai, Vo Thi Sau, Le Thi Rieng, Nguyen Thi Dinh, Vo Thi Thang, Tran Thi Ly, Nguyen Thi Binh, and Truong My Hoa.
"Iron" is also a story aboutHeart of gold, courage of iron.This is about the gentle, petite mothers, sisters, and daughters who immersed themselves in the struggle for national liberation. When the country was in danger, women enthusiastically participated in fighting the enemy with "carrying poles to fight the enemy" in the North, and "bamboo spears to kill the enemy" in the South... The female guerrilla teams, local self-defense units, and female youth volunteers bravely fought on the fierce battlefields, and the female soldiers who fought silently in the enemy's heartland contributed to the glorious victories of the nation in the two wars of resistance against France and the United States.

In the "Lipstick" section, the exhibition is presented through two sub-sections:Good woodandGood paint. In there,Good woodThe focus is on portraying the story of women who are "skilled in one profession and knowledgeable in many things," serving as a strong support system for the front lines. Continuing that tradition, Vietnamese women today strive to overcome gender stereotypes, are dynamic and creative, excel in both public and domestic affairs, and enthusiastically contribute to affirming their position and role in the new era: "confident, self-respecting, loyal, and capable."

The exhibition "Iron and Red" launched on October 20, 2021, and will run until the end of May 2022 at the Hoa Lo Prison Historical Site (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi).
