Hoa Lo Prison relic site exhibits special exhibition honoring Vietnamese women

On the occasion of October 20, Hoa Lo Prison Relics (Hanoi) organized a special exhibition "Iron - Loyal", introducing typical examples of patriotic and revolutionary soldiers; women who are "good at national affairs and good at housework"...

The exhibition space "Iron - Son" is presented through two main colors, gray and red, corresponding to the two contents "Iron" and "Son". In which, "Iron" is the storyFlowers in HellfireIntroducing the examples of 9 outstanding female soldiers in harsh prison conditions, including: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Thi Quang Thai, Vo Thi Sau, Le Thi Rieng, Nguyen Thi Dinh, Vo Thi Thang, Tran Thi Ly, Nguyen Thi Binh, Truong My Hoa.

"Iron" is also a story aboutGolden heart, iron liver -about the gentle, petite mothers, sisters, and younger sisters who joined the cause of national liberation. When the country was in danger, women enthusiastically participated in fighting the enemy with "shoulder poles" in the North, "bamboo poles to kill the enemy" in the South... The female guerilla teams, local self-defense forces, female youth volunteers who rushed into the fierce battlefields, and the female soldiers who fought silently in the enemy's headquarters contributed to the nation's glorious victory in the two resistance wars against the French and the Americans.

In the "Son" section, the display is presented through two sub-sections:Good woodandGood paint. In there,Good woodfocuses on portraying the stories of women who are "good at one job, know many things", and are a solid support for the front line. Continuing that tradition, Vietnamese women today always strive to overcome barriers of gender prejudice, be dynamic, creative, "good at national affairs, good at housework", enthusiastically contributing to affirm their position and role in the new era of "confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and responsibility".

The exhibition "Iron - Son" was launched on October 20, 2021 and will last until the end of May 2022 at the Hoa Lo Prison Historical Relic (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi). The Relic Management Board has announced an online exhibition program with a duration of 30 minutes/episode on the platform.SpotifyandApple Podcast, live exhibitions will be available to visitors upon reopening.
