On August 17, on the high Klausen pass in the Swiss Alps, cows injured during their foraging journey were "escorted" to the ground by... helicopter. Specifically, to help 10 cows get down the mountain safely, a group of Swiss farmers organized to transport them by helicopter to a flat area where normal cow transport vehicles could drive to.

More than 10 cows landed safely after a helicopter ride at an altitude of 1,950 meters above sea level. It is unclear whether they were served food and drinks before the "flight", but they clearly had a "valuable" and spectacular view of the Swiss landscape.

"I don't know how they felt after 'flying' because they couldn't speak," said a farmer. "But the flight was short, the flight was smooth and slow, and I didn't notice any unusual signs between the birds that had just 'flown' and the others."
According to Reuters, the remaining healthy animals in this herd of 1,000 cows will walk down the mountain, then the whole herd will head to the Urnerboden area in the central state of Uri to participate in the annual cow parade.
