Known as the "kingdom of caves", Quang Binh is not only famous for its caves but also for its sea, forests, historical and spiritual relics... Therefore, Quang Binh is one of the indispensable destinations in the programs and product sets of travel agencies for domestic tourists. Notably, although also affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Quang Binh has not had any cases of infection. These are the initial conditions for Quang Binh to promote tourism again after the period of social distancing; in addition to the timely, drastic and sensitive measures of the provincial government and the local tourism industry.

Currently, the Quang Binh Department of Tourism has made a submission and in early June, the Quang Binh Provincial People's Council will pass a resolution to reduce 50% of all fees and prices regulated by the State until the end of 2020.

However, some businesses have quickly come up with plans to deeply reduce prices while still ensuring the quality of some tourism products. For example, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Tourism Center has launched a stimulus package with incentives of up to 45%; Oxalis Company - the pioneer in exploiting Son Doong discovery tours, has reduced the price of this tour from 3,000 USD to 2,500 USD/person, and at the same time produced a video clip introducing the beautiful scenery of Quang Binh to attract domestic tourists.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Quang Binh wants tourism and travel businesses to step up promotion and market research to connect more tourists to Quang Binh, to gradually enhance the brand value and attractiveness of Quang Binh to tourists.
More than 80 travel agencies and tourism businesses from Hanoi, Da Nang and Quang Binh attending the conference also participated in discussing plans to stimulate tourism in Quang Binh, not only promoting on media; reducing entrance ticket prices but also exploiting new tourist attractions (especially adventure tours), applying large preferential prices for agencies with a large number of customers, tourism service businesses reducing service prices by 20%-50%... Airlines and the Railway Corporation also have preferential ticket price policies for travel agencies and tourists coming to Quang Binh...

Mr. Truong Quoc Hung - Chairman of the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club also suggested that airlines, railways, hotels, travel agencies, destinations... need to have a synchronous price reduction association, improve service quality. In addition, representing Da Nang tourism businesses, Mr. Ho Thanh Tu - General Secretary of Da Nang Tourism Association - suggested that Quang Binh build impressive product combos, and at the same time cooperate with Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam to build heritage route products for the 4 localities to improve quality and stimulate demand.

Previously, from May 28, member businesses of the UNESCO Travel Club Hanoi and UNESCO Club Da Nang jointly conducted a survey of a tourist destination and accommodation and culinary services in Dong Hoi, Phong Nha, Thanh Hoa to create a premise for upcoming cooperation activities. The survey will continue with some destinations in Ha Tinh, Nghe An and end on May 31.
