On May 29th, the "Quang Binh - A Safe and Unique Destination" tourism development cooperation conference was held in Dong Hoi City, organized by the Quang Binh Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the Quang Binh Tourism Association, the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club, and the Da Nang Tourism Association.

Known as the "kingdom of caves," Quang Binh boasts not only caves but also famous beaches, forests, historical sites, and spiritual landmarks. Therefore, Quang Binh is an indispensable destination in the programs and product packages offered by travel agencies for domestic tourists. Notably, despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Quang Binh has not recorded any cases. These initial conditions are enabling Quang Binh to boost tourism again after the period of social distancing; alongside this are the timely, decisive, and astute measures taken by the provincial government and the local tourism industry.

However, some businesses have been quick to offer significant discounts while maintaining the quality of certain tourism products. For example, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Tourism Center has offered a promotional package with discounts of up to 45%; Oxalis Company - a pioneer in operating tours to explore Son Doong Cave - has reduced the tour price from $3,000 to $2,500 per person, and also produced video clips showcasing the beautiful scenery of Quang Binh to attract domestic tourists.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that Quang Binh hopes that tourism and travel businesses will strengthen promotion and market research to connect more tourists to Quang Binh, thereby gradually enhancing the brand value and attractiveness of Quang Binh to visitors.

Over 80 travel agencies and tourism businesses from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Quang Binh attended the conference and participated in discussions on ways to stimulate tourism in Quang Binh. These included not only promoting tourism through media and reducing entrance fees, but also developing new attractions (especially adventure tours), offering significant discounts to agencies with large customer volumes, and reducing service prices by 20%-50% for tourism service providers. Airlines and the Vietnam Railways Corporation also offered preferential ticket prices for travel agencies and tourists visiting Quang Binh.

Mr. Truong Quoc Hung, Chairman of the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club, also suggested that airlines, railways, hotels, travel agencies, and destinations should collaborate to offer synchronized discounts and improve service quality. In addition, representing Da Nang tourism businesses, Mr. Ho Thanh Tu, General Secretary of the Da Nang Tourism Association, proposed that Quang Binh develop impressive product packages and collaborate with Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam to create a multi-route heritage tourism product for the four localities to enhance the quality and effectiveness of stimulating demand.
