At 3 PM on December 27th, the music video "Alone Pt II" by renowned music producer Alan Walker officially premiered on YouTube. Notably, this new musical masterpiece was largely filmed in Son Doong Cave and other locations in Quang Binh province, under the direction of world-famous director Kristian Berg.
The music video "Alone, Pt. II," a collaboration with Ava Max, also marks Alan Walker's memorable journey to Vietnam, where he had the opportunity to admire and capture the enchanting scenery of Son Doong Cave, the world's largest cave, Doong village, and the majestic nature of Quang Binh province.
The names of Vietnamese landmarks are clearly indicated in the music video.
The main character of the music video is a French archaeologist with the pseudonym 28300, played by actress Susanne Karin Moe. All of 28300's discoveries lead to an ancient civilization called the Walkers. After her discoveries in France, she continues her journey to find more clues about this mysterious civilization in other countries. Her research leads 28300 to the mystical land of Quang Binh, where she travels along emerald green rivers, through vast forests, to reach a colossal world hidden deep underground, believed to be the gateway to an ancient world – Son Doong Cave.
Numerous locations appeared in "Alone, Part II". The first scenes were filmed in Bản Đoòng, a small, isolated village of about 40 Bru-Vân Kiều people located on the way to Sơn Đoòng Cave. This is also where the protagonist meets his Vietnamese guide.
Next is Hang En Cave - the world's third largest cave, used as an entrance to a hidden cave containing strange symbols. And finally, the magnificent Son Doong Cave, with footage of the Hand of Dog formation and Doline 1 deep inside the cave.
Besides the memorable footage in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, the film crew also shot some scenes at Nuoc Nut Cave, Trooc River, Tra Ang Bridge, and especially the romantic moment while floating on the Chay River.
Despite being only 22 years old, music phenomenon Alan Walker has over 29 million subscribers on his official YouTube channel and nearly 7 billion total views, making him one of the most famous artists of all time with an incredibly large fan base.
Just three days after its release, the music video for "Alone Pt. II" has garnered nearly 6 million views on YouTube and is expected to reach over 500 million views within six months. With this record-breaking number of views, the stunning and magnificent images of Quang Binh's nature will be widely shared throughout the world.
The magnificent scenery of Son Doong Cave gradually unfolded as the film crew followed in their footsteps.
According to the Quang Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, the musical masterpiece "Alone Pt II" will be performed at the Phong Nha Countdown Party 2020, a New Year's Eve celebration, taking place on the evening of December 31, 2019, at the Phong Nha Tourism Center (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province).
