Quang Binh is perfectly beautiful in KONG: SKULL ISLAND

Introduced to audiences more than 8 decades ago, Kong has gone beyond the framework of a movie to become an iconic monster character in cinema history, associated with many unforgettable memories in all of our minds. This coming March, the latest blockbuster about the legendary Kong – KONG: SKULL ISLAND will be released to audiences with many majestic and beautiful scenes in Vietnam - images that have certainly never appeared on the big screen before.

KONG: SKULL ISLANDThe film is set in 1973 – the year the Vietnam War ended and Landsat – the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Earth observation satellite program – was officially launched.

With the desire to immerse the audience in the wild and harsh space of Skull Island, the filmmakers traveled to many locations with majestic natural landscapes around the world to film the scenes for this film. The filming process forKONG: SKULL ISLANDhas spanned three continents with destinations in Australia, Hawaii and Vietnam.

Producer Alex Garcia commented: “It was a great privilege for our crew to film in the beautiful natural landscape of Vietnam. The breathtaking scenery here made for a very special backdrop for our story. Combining the footage shot in Vietnam with the images we captured in Hawaii and Australia definitely helped create aKONG: SKULL ISLANDwith extremely impressive scenes, giving the audience memorable cinematic experiences."

During the 3-week stay in Vietnam, the film crew filmed at several famous locations such as Tu Lan cave system, Phong Nha cave in Quang Binh, Trang An eco-tourism area, Tam Coc and Van Long lagoon in Ninh Binh and the natural wonder of Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh...

Director Vogt-Roberts had good feelings for Vietnam, especially the scenes in Quang Binh. He shared: “Everything about Quang Binh is very special to me. Every place I go to in Vietnam brings different emotions, the people here have very special vibes. As soon as I set foot in Quang Binh, I had to exclaim: We must film here, we must come to Vietnam.” He continued to praise the beautiful scenery in Vietnam, saying that the scenic spots here are truly rare, beautiful and unique wonders.
