Beautiful places in Quang Binh appear in King Kong

21/02/2017

A lot of curiosity and interest was given to Quang Binh after the Kong: Skull Island film crew chose this place to film the main scenes in their blockbuster. Compared to Ninh Binh or Ha Long (also filming locations) which are too familiar, it is clear that Quang Binh still has many mysteries and wildness that have not been discovered.

In recent days, the event of the "Kong: Skulls Island" film crew coming to Vietnam to film the main scenes in the film has really become a hot topic on all social networks. In particular, the filming locations of the film have received the most attention, because everyone is curious about the beautiful scenery in these places that the whole film crew from far away America had to "trail" together to come. The images of the filming locations, and the compliments from the director, actors and film crew members... about the beautiful scenery in these places make people even more... excited.

Of the three main filming locations, Quang Binh is probably the one that has received the most attention. This is also because this is where the main scenes of King Kong's residence were filmed, with brand new locations that even young Vietnamese people sometimes have not heard of. But with the praise of "Surreal Beauty" from the film's director himself, many young people have put these locations on their must-visit list this summer, before they become super hot tourist destinations after the film is released.

Visiting Quang Binh and the filming locations about 2 weeks after the crew left, we were able to find these "surreal" beautiful scenes without too much difficulty. In total, the crew filmed mainly at Yen Phu Lake, Yen Phu Village (also known as the stone village), Hang Chuot and Deo Da Deo Pass.

As the most notable location during the filming process in Quang Binh, Yen Phu village is true to the director's words: "Surreal beauty". Also known as the village of growing stones, Yen Phu village possesses an extremely special beauty. Here, stalactites "grow" from the ground, interspersed among the landscape, among the pretty houses in the village.

Yen Phu Lake is also one of the places that recorded important scenes of the movie. With a peaceful style, surrounded by mountains, forests, and a clear, leisurely lake below, this will definitely be one of the hottest tourist destinations that young people who love to travel to Vietnam must pay attention to in the near future.

Cha Noi Valley seen from Da Deo Pass is also one of the places where many spectacular scenes appear. Da Deo Pass is located in Phong Nha Ke Bang complex, 17 km long pass located on Ho Chi Minh road, in Thuong Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province. This is a place with many majestic, splendid and mysterious beautiful scenes.

Hang Chuot was chosen as the location for filming the scene where King Kong resides. It is a large cave in the Tu Lan cave system, still intact with its wild and mysterious beauty. The film crew invested more than 1 billion VND to build a road connecting Yen Tho village to Hang Chuot to make the journey more convenient, as well as a gift from the film crew to the people here.

The other simple yet wonderful scenes we encountered along the way will surely leave you speechless when you pass by.
