Opening Ceremony of the Cave Festival "Quang Binh - Endless Mysteries"

At the opening ceremony, delegates, guests, and local people enjoyed an impressive artistic program, a spectacular feast of art and music featuring performances by many famous artists: singers Kieu Anh and Le Anh with a medley of "Quang Binh, My Homeland - Quang Binh in Song"; Tung Duong with the song "Thien Thai"; an impressive circus performance by Quoc Co and Quoc Nghiep; the Chuong Gio group with the song "Mystical Phong Nha"; "The Day Before the Storm" performed by Bui Lan Huong; singer My Tam with the song "Hello New Day"... In addition, the audience also admired the Mo Tien Ao Dai collection by designer Ngo Nhat Huy; and elaborate, impressive video clips showcasing the natural scenery and people of Quang Binh.

On the occasion of the Quang Binh Cave Festival 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with the People's Committee of Quang Binh province to announce the Prime Minister's Decision approving the overall development plan for the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Tourist Area.

In addition, Quang Binh is currently implementing a program to stimulate domestic tourism. Accordingly, the Tourism Association and tourism businesses in the province are carrying out a program with the theme "Exploring the cave kingdom of Quang Binh - unique experiences".

Over the past period, Quang Binh tourism has continued to affirm its brand position on the Vietnamese tourism map and expand internationally. According to the Quang Binh Department of Tourism, in the first six months of 2019, the number of tourists visiting Quang Binh reached an estimated 2.45 million, an increase of 20% compared to the same period in 2018, of which international tourists accounted for more than 133,000, an increase of over 31%. With continued investment, diversification of tourism products and constant improvement of service quality, Quang Binh continues to aim for a target of welcoming 4.3 million tourists in 2019, including 250,000-300,000 international tourists. Total revenue from tourism is expected to reach 4,950 billion VND; the average length of stay is estimated at 1.14 days per tourist.
