The $1 billion theme park, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, allows lucky visitors who secure advance tickets to explore the "land of the stars" for a total of four hours. Only those with advance tickets can visit Galaxy's Edge for the first three weeks, after which the park will officially open to the public.

Miguel Langarcia, one of the lucky fans who secured advance tickets for the park's opening in California, said: "I had four computers open at once, trying to make a reservation. I finally succeeded and I'm here today. I'm incredibly excited."
Joe Kaniwa, another visitor, said he didn't mind the nearly $150 per adult entrance fee for the experience. "They want to make money and they are making money," he said. "But they also want to make people's dreams come true. Star Wars fans span generations. There are people in their 40s and 50s who come here because they've been waiting for this for a very long time. Now they can be a part of Star Wars."

“Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is truly spectacular and we are thrilled to finally be able to present it to the world,” said Walt Disney Company President and CEO Bob Iger at the opening ceremony.
"Now, for the first time, fans will be able to immerse themselves in iconic stories that have resonated with them for decades and live their own Star Wars adventures in the most ambitious and innovative world we've ever created."

The park offers adventure rides such as aboard the Millennium Falcon, along with interactive activities featuring various Star Wars characters like Stormtroopers, the mighty Chewbacca, and Rey, the hero from the futuristic land of Batuu. On the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run spaceship ride, visitors sit in the spacecraft and experience a variety of storylines based on how they control the vessel.

Star Wars fans can also enjoy quirky drinks featured in the films, such as the spicy Bloody Rancor or Carbon Freeze, at Oga's Cantina, or cool off with Blue Milk and Green Milk. If you have extra money, you can even create your own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop for $200 (before tax).
Additionally, a similar Star Wars theme park will open at Disney World, Florida, at the end of August this year.
