Specifically, the transition process will take place from April 5, 2019, and end at 23:59 on April 6, 2019, lasting approximately 45 hours.
Between 00:01 and 01:59 on April 6, 2019, flights at the old Ataturk Airport continued. To ensure a smooth and planned transition, from 00:01 to 14:00 on April 6, 2019, Turkish Airlines decided to temporarily suspend flights at both Istanbul Ataturk Airport and the new Istanbul Airport. After that, all flights at Istanbul Ataturk Airport ceased completely and were diverted to the new Istanbul Airport.

During the transition period, the Turkish airline advises customers to regularly check their flight information and, if they have any questions, to contact the relevant department to avoid unnecessary problems.
Additionally, the Turkish airline announced that it will soon increase the service fee for flight changes after flights are operated at the new airport, and customers can contact the airline's sales team for specific pricing.
