For chocolate lovers of all ages, the "Vietnam Chocolate Factory Tour" program will begin with a brief introduction to the history of chocolate, "the food of the gods," which originated approximately 4,000 years ago and has only recently experienced significant growth in Vietnam.
This half-day program is suitable for chocolate lovers of all ages.
Following the introduction, visitors will tour a small cocoa farm that supplies the raw materials for chocolate production. Next, they will visit the Fifty Fresh Farms factory, which produces over 100 kg of chocolate daily. Although chocolate lovers won't see Willy Wonka (the character from the famous film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory), they will get to see firsthand the chocolate-making process from cocoa beans, from separating the beans, roasting, grinding into liquid cocoa, to the fermentation, mixing, and cooling stages to shape the chocolate bars.
Visitors will dress up in chef's attire and be guided in making their own chocolates in a 40-minute "class."
Visitors will dress up in chef's attire and be guided in making their own chocolates in a 40-minute "class." For the next 40 minutes, while waiting for their homemade chocolate to solidify, visitors will sample various types of chocolate such as milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, truffle chocolate, soft chocolate, chocolate with nuts, hot chocolate, and pure cocoa at Fifty Fresh Farms. At the end of the program, visitors will take home their homemade chocolates, packaged in a personalized souvenir box, and return to The Anam, a 10-minute drive away.
The Anam beach resort is partnering with Fifty Fresh Farms chocolate factory to introduce a chocolate factory tour program.
Mr. Pham Van Hien, owner and founder of The Anam, shared: “There’s a Western proverb that says: any dish with chocolate tastes good. Therefore, we want to introduce this unique experience to tourists so they can both visit and learn how to make and enjoy chocolate. Fifty Fresh Farms, our chosen partner, is renowned for producing natural products, collaborating with fair trade associations, and supporting local farmers in developing sustainable farming methods.”
The "Vietnam Chocolate Factory Tour" program takes place daily, departing at 8:40 AM from The Anam. The program costs VND 2,785,000 per person and includes transportation, a welcome drink, a tour guide, a chocolate-making class, chocolate and hot beverage tasting, seasonal fruit, and a chocolate gift package for each person.
