24/06/2016

Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) will launch the Pan Pacific Hotel and Resort brand in Vietnam and open its first hotel, Pan Pacific Hanoi, in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Formerly the Sofitel Plaza Hanoi Hotel, one of the city's iconic landmarks, the building has been owned by PPHG since 2001 through a joint venture with Hanoi Construction Corporation. From October 1st, 2016, the hotel will be rebranded as Pan Pacific Hanoi after renovations and upgrades to the lobby, lobby bar, restaurant, and meeting rooms. Beyond offering a tranquil atmosphere, the new Pan Pacific Hanoi will convey the Pan Pacific brand message, "A New Pacific Experience," through a blend of the culture and heritage of Pacific Rim nations.

With 273 guest rooms and 56 serviced apartments, the hotel is ideally located near the Old Quarter and offers picturesque views of West Lake and the Red River. Guests can also easily access the city center, home to numerous business offices.

Bernold Schroeder, CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, said: “We are delighted to bring the Pan Pacific brand to a city like Hanoi, where personalized service and attention to detail perfectly align with our brand positioning. Owning a hotel in Hanoi is part of our strategy to establish a presence in major cities across the Asia Pacific region. We view Vietnam as a growth market entering an exciting new phase of tourism development.”

Pan Pacific Hanoi will be the Group's second hotel in Vietnam after ParkRoyal Saigon. Pan Pacific Hanoi will add value to PPHG's chain of luxury hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments in Indochina – alongside ParkRoyal Saigon, ParkRoyal Yangon, ParkRoyal Nay Pyi Taw, and Pan Pacific Yangon, which will officially open in 2017 – and is part of the Group's expansion plan in this market.
