Formerly known as Sofitel Plaza Hanoi Hotel, one of the city’s icons, the building has been owned by PPHG since 2001 through a joint venture with Hanoi Construction Corporation. From October 1, 2016, the hotel will be rebranded as Pan Pacific Hanoi after a renovation and upgrade of the lobby, lobby bar, restaurant and meeting rooms. Not only bringing a sense of tranquility, the new Pan Pacific Hanoi hotel will carry the Pan Pacific brand message of “A New Pacific Experience” through the blend of culture and heritage of Pacific Rim countries.

With 273 guest rooms and 56 serviced apartments, the hotel is located in a prime location near the Old Quarter and opens up a poetic view of West Lake and Red River. Guests can also easily move to the city center where business offices are concentrated.
“We are delighted to bring the Pan Pacific brand to a city like Hanoi, where personal service and attention to detail perfectly align with our brand positioning,” said Mr. Bernold Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer, Pan Pacific Hotels Group. “Owning a hotel in Hanoi is part of our strategy to establish a Pan Pacific presence in key cities across the Asia-Pacific region. We see Vietnam as a growth market that is entering an exciting new phase of tourism development.”
Pan Pacific Hanoi will be the Group’s second hotel in Vietnam after ParkRoyal Saigon. Pan Pacific Hanoi will be a valuable addition to PPHG’s portfolio of luxury hotels, resorts and serviced apartments in Indochina – along with ParkRoyal Saigon, ParkRoyal Yangon, ParkRoyal Nay Pyi Taw and Pan Pacific Yangon, which will officially open in 2017 – and is part of the Group’s expansion plans in this market.
