For him, staycations offer a "gentle" experience: saving both money and time. Trung often chooses staycations as a way to balance work and life by finding a new place to stay for a short period. It's a great way to "detox" the mind, release negative emotions, and bring new inspiration to life and work.

Sharing her perspective on the growing staycation trend, Le Vu Huynh Hoa (Ben Tre), currently a Travel Content Creator, said: "Besides time constraints, young people and couples want to change their sleeping location to refresh their feelings. Additionally, staycations offer a relaxing experience in a place not too far from home, saving on travel costs such as plane tickets and bus fares."

"Staycation is a way to relax without spending too much money or time," Hoa shared. She cited an example: with just 1-2 million VND, she and her travel companion had their dream getaway right in the city for 1-2 days.

Besides cost and time, Hoa likes staycations because they allow her to escape the hustle and bustle of the outside world, focusing on immersing herself in green spaces to relax. It's a suitable break to enjoy herself and rebalance her life, so we can do it whenever we have free time.

CRITERIA TO CONSIDER FOR A PERFECT STAYCATION

Staycations are often considered more cost-effective than longer trips away from home. In reality, many city-based accommodations offer luxurious and high-end experiences at prices that are far from budget-friendly.

However, cost isn't the top priority for Toan Trung when planning a staycation. "I'm more interested in changing my mood and refreshing my work environment and sleeping arrangements than in the cost and time," Trung shared.

Trung prioritizes accommodation with full amenities, including a well-designed space, swimming pool, screens, and kitchen. He also values ​​privacy and tranquility. Meanwhile, Hoa seeks locations with a tropical style, featuring a pool and greenery – a resort-like atmosphere near the beach right in the heart of the city.

The location of the space is perhaps the next thing to consider. Beyond simply staying within the premises, a staycation is also an opportunity to explore the city you live in from a tourist's perspective. While Hoa prefers locations in quiet alleyways, Trung desires accommodation in a central location, close to convenient restaurants and shops.

Depending on your needs and budget, you can find suitable accommodation on various booking platforms. As someone with extensive staycation experience, Trung notes that the current minimum price for a one-night staycation is around 800,000 VND.

Customer service and reviews are also factors to consider when choosing accommodation that suits your needs. Nowadays, accommodation businesses aim to maximize comfort for a wide range of customer groups.

For Trung, an ideal staycation location doesn't need a 24/7 receptionist or numerous staff members. They should focus on creating a comfortable atmosphere for guests, being available only when needed. Huynh Hoa, on the other hand, considers customer satisfaction at accommodation establishments a crucial factor.
