According to information from the Management Board of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, in case the epidemic is controlled, many unique cultural and artistic exchange programs and group activities such as folk games and experiential tours will be organized.
Specifically, with the theme “Family cultural traditions in ethnic communities”, “Family Festival” is an event that helps to enhance exchanges between ethnic groups, connect communities as well as the attachment of each family member and each ethnic community. Through that, each person will learn the beauty of family cultural activities (husband and wife, siblings, village and neighborhood love, etc.).

Within the framework of this June event, the program “Folk Games - My Childhood” will be an opportunity for young visitors to have fun and experience games such as making a buffalo out of jackfruit leaves, playing grass cockfighting, tug of war, tu lu, playing swallows, to ma le… and participate in educational activities about ecological environment and ethnic culture.
Visitors can join the program “A day as an artisan” to learn about community culture through traditional costumes of ethnic groups, from the process of choosing fibers, dyeing, weaving to the structure of the finished costume; or experience being a farmer, gardening, picking vegetables, weeding, taking care of plants and learning about typical plants of each region.

The art program to celebrate “Vietnam Family Day” of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands at the “Common House” is scheduled to be held on June 26, with the 2021 theme “Peaceful Family - Happy Society”. This is the highlight activity in the series of events in June at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
Ede, Co Tu, Xo Dang, Ta Oi, Gie Trieng ethnic groups will perform songs about their homeland, country, the Central Highlands, family, and village. Along with that, there will be activities to introduce the beauty of traditional costumes of women in the family and the beauty of traditional weaving in the Village.

On this occasion, the traditional wedding ceremony of the Gie Trieng ethnic group in Kon Tum province will be reenacted. The wedding customs of the ethnic group still have many primitive features, rich in humanity and imbued with the beauty of the ethnic culture. Marriage in the Gie Trieng community is voluntary, with the unique feature being the wedding gifts of betrothal firewood. Activities introducing traditional culture such as xoang dance and gong performances will also be introduced in the program.
