According to information from the Organizing Committee, the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2021 is expected to be held in the second half of July 2021, provided the Covid-19 pandemic is under control (the specific date will be announced later).
According to the original plan, the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2021, themed "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Crafts," was scheduled to take place from May 29th to June 26th. This year's festival was expected to feature approximately 40 performances, bringing together hundreds of artists, thousands of performers and artisans, along with numerous community programs.
Some of the main events include the Handicraft Product Design Competition, Sculpture Workshop, Ao Dai Week, Ancestor Worship Ceremony, Exhibition of Ancient Nguyen Dynasty Costumes, Trinh Cong Son Music Night, Hue Food Festival, and the Beer Street.
In addition, there are community activities such as a reenactment of Nguyen Dynasty-era archery, art exhibitions, street magic performances, calligraphy demonstrations, kite flying, human chess, etc.
The Hue Traditional Craft Festival is a typical economic and cultural-artistic event, deeply rooted in Vietnamese and Hue culture, with the goal of preserving, honoring, and developing traditional crafts.
