Enjoy the summer with Camping and Glamping

27/04/2018

Summer is the season of outdoor travel, exploring nature, an opportunity for the whole family or group of friends to share experiences in their own way. If you go on a trip and do not want to stay in a hotel room, you can still enjoy the trip to the fullest, with many new emotions by sleeping in a tent. If you want to be "wild" then Camping (tent), but if you want to be both natural and add amenities and romance then there is Glamping (luxury tent).

Sleep in a tent, immerse yourself in nature

I still remember the trip to the “Dinosaur Spine” of Ta Xua (Son La). According to the plan, we would find a Hmong house in the poorest village, with everything at the most minimal level.

After we had explored Ta Xua to our heart’s content, we stood on a high place and looked down to see a village below the valley. We also chose a house located right in the middle of the valley. The journey down to this house was quite tiring because the path was small and slippery.

But in return, in this season, the rows of flowers planted along the road bloom white, making Chung Chieng village suddenly more beautiful than ever.

At night, after a very enjoyable dinner, the chirping of insects began to resonate like a chorus. Sleeping in the middle of a valley, surrounded by high mountains, the feeling was indescribable… Confused, a little scared, and excited at the same time. After spreading a thick blanket underneath as a mattress, we spread out our sleeping bags. After the tiring trip this morning, plus a little corn wine, that night, everyone slept better than in thehomestaythe night before.

Early in the morning, the owner of the house Pao was already up. The eldest daughter had turned on the radio, a Hmong song about love. Pao’s wife was busy cooking noodles and cold rice for the children to eat, then one went to school, the other took the buffalo to herd… Meanwhile, we were sitting brushing our teeth next to the buffalo pen. We boiled water, made tea, and sat drinking in the thick fog of the mountains and forests. Life was so simple and lovely in this place that it made us temporarily forget the hustle and bustle of the city.

Coming to Ta Xua, people can camp right on the back of the dinosaur, to “hunt clouds” at dawn and dusk. But just a note to everyone, please preserve the environment and public hygiene.

Camping in the flower fields in Ninh Thuan, in the pine forests of Da Lat, in the Central Highlands forests, in Bidoup or on the beach, sand dunes... All of them bring you a new and attractive feeling that you will not be able to find when going on a tour of a travel company. That is the reason why many people have chosen to travel in this type, with the style of sleeping in tents - Camping.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, a camping enthusiast living in Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “Because I have traveled so much, now I just want to go to a place with beautiful, cool scenery, set up a tent, and stay there for a long time to enjoy nature. The camping site must ensure at least two criteria: far from residential areas and haveviewopen like mountains, forests, streams, waterfalls, fields…”.

For Tuan, one of his favorite camping spots is Da Lat. Here, he can ride his motorbike up any hill and enjoy the cool air. “I once set up a tent in the same place for seven consecutive days. That time, the weather was perfect, with light rain in the afternoon and calm winds at night so he wouldn’t get cold. In the morning, nature gifted him with a sea of clouds.”

An unforgettable experience of sleeping in a tent for Ms. Thuy Lan (in Nha Trang) was camping with the group on the beach of Cu Lao Cau, a pristine island of Binh Thuan on the occasion of April 30. Lying in the tent at night, listening to the murmuring sound of the waves, sticking her head out to look at the sea, in front of her was only a vast black color, a feeling of fear.

As dawn broke, the beauty of the sea seemed to compensate for all the worries of the previous night. “It was wonderful and peaceful to suddenly see the image of two lovers practicing yoga on the beach.”

Another person who also likes this type of tourism said: “Tents are very addictive. Sometimes when I don’t have the conditions to go out, I have to relieve my boredom by camping in the house to play with my children, crawling in and out, like I’m traveling somewhere!”

For families, camping with tents is one of the unforgettable memories in the hearts of children. All that nature gives is fresh air, wonderful scenery and views of wild life, evenings with the light of thousands of stars in the sky. Nature will bring children real, vivid experiences and children will feel it with their own senses. Therefore, if you want to arouse any child's interest, try inviting them to join a picnic. It is a priceless gift for a child's memory, and also a great way to connect the feelings between family members.

"DO'S" AND "DON'T'S" WHEN CAMPING-GLAMPING

Even if you are in a beautiful place, choosing a campsite requires you to follow some principles and master the required skills, such as the suggestions below.

SHOULD NOT

- Not at the bottom of a valley, or canyon, where the air will be coldest and excessively humid.

- Do not camp near animal feeding grounds or animal dens to avoid unwanted visitors at midnight!

- Stay away from dangerous areas such as flood discharge areas, flash floods, flooded grasslands; keep a safe distance from streams, rivers, lakes, and seas.

SHOULD

- Find a safe and convenient location for living.

- Choose a place covered by natural materials such as leaves; lying on sand or clean soil will conduct less heat than other substances.

- Under or next to a tree or large rock will block the wind and reduce radiant heat.

- Avoid the risk of flooding by groundwater because if it rains, moisture can easily seep through a tent floor.

- Ensure safety and wind protection for camping sites.

- Mark the camping spot and identify the tent site for all participants to avoid getting lost.

- Maintain general hygiene in the tent and campsite. Comply with the principles of protecting nature and the environment.
