CENTRAL HIGHLANDS DURING COFFEE FLOWERING SEASON

11/03/2014

As March arrives, while flowers bloom in vibrant colors everywhere, the Central Highlands welcome a white spring with vast coffee plantations covered in blossoms that blanket the hillsides. During this time, BenThanh Tourist introduces a series of Central Highlands tours with unique itineraries, aiming to provide travelers with novel experiences.

Many people are captivated by the rich flavor of coffee or the plump, ripe red coffee cherries, but few know that the pristine white coffee blossoms that bloom across the hillsides of the red basalt soil are unexpectedly beautiful and alluring. Instead of individual blossoms or clusters, coffee flowers typically bloom along the branches, extending to the tips of the twigs. And so, these white blossoms continue to spread and cover the hillsides. Beneath the green foliage, the coffee blossoms become even more pure and enchanting.

One spring morning, standing on a hilltop and gazing at the coffee plantations bursting with white blossoms and their intoxicating fragrance, you realize how fortunate you are to have not missed this moment. During this season, farmers become busier than ever, preparing for a new harvest. Amidst the vast coffee forests, visitors can easily spot the affectionate glances and genuine smiles of the young men and women of the ethnic minority groups working in the fields. The delicate coffee blossoms carry the hope of a bountiful harvest for the honest and hospitable people of the Central Highlands.
