The small alleys and old walls suddenly become lively under the bright red of the national flag, creating a simple yet touching picture of Hanoi in the days when the whole country is joyfully looking forward to Independence Day.

Phan Dinh Phung Street, which has been the site of many historical stories, has suddenly become the perfect backdrop for commemorative photos these days. Young people take the opportunity to check in and pose under the rows of national flags fluttering in the wind. Graceful ao dai or red shirts printed with the yellow star flag, along with bright smiles blending with the brilliant red color, making the whole street look like an outdoor film studio filled with the spirit of the festival.

Amidst the bustling crowd on Hoan Kiem Lake walking street and in the Old Quarter, it is not difficult to see foreign tourists stopping to take pictures under the rows of flags and eye-catching hydrangea flowers.For them, Hanoi is not only a destination, but also a place to clearly feel the solidarity spirit and special festive atmosphere of the Vietnamese people.

The billboards, banners, and slogans were hung neatly, creating a solemn highlight. Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square also took on a new look, turning the familiar street corner into a brilliant focal point for the holiday.


On the walking street around Hoan Kiem Lake, each family and group of friends wore Ao Dai, hats, scarves with red flags and yellow stars, together capturing memorable moments. At night, the central streets of Hanoi are bright red with long rows of fluttering national and party flags. Under those flags, small stalls sell hats, national flags, pictures of Uncle Ho, etc. Not only are these items decorative, they are also a way for people to express their pride and prepare for the country's great festival.
