This giant potato-shaped hotel in Idaho is 8.5 meters long, 3.7 meters wide, 3.5 meters high, and weighs 6 tons, situated on a 400-hectare plot of former farmland.

Initially, the hotel was a potato-shaped truck built in 2012 from steel, plywood, plasterboard, and concrete to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Idaho Potato Board. It was driven across the country for seven years to promote the giant potato – the state's most popular export. It quickly became one of the most talked-about advertising vehicles on American roads.

After completing its cross-country tour, the committee didn't know what to do with the giant potato truck. Then, Kristie Wolfie, a former spokesperson for Potato Tours in Idaho and a DIY enthusiast, suggested turning it into a habitable rental home. Wolfie spent two years renovating it, and it's now being rented out on Airbnb.

Inside this charming house is a lovely space for two guests, with a king-size bed, a small bathroom, a kitchenette, air conditioning, and even a fireplace. A night at this property costs approximately $247, including taxes and fees.

"If you really want to know what it feels like to be inside a potato instead of eating it, come here and experience it," said Frank Muir, President of the Idaho Potato Commission.
