Istanbul-based architectural design firm Hayri Atak has come up with the idea of building a hotel on Preikestolen, a 604m-high sheer cliff located on Lysefjorden, facing the Kjerag plateau in southern Norway.

The hotel will have a large observation deck on the top floor, which doubles as the building's entrance, with three floors of accommodation below. Every floor will have a balcony with a breathtaking view of the fjord, and the lowest floor will have a long swimming pool jutting out from the cliff.

This seems to be the ideal place for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle to relax in a space close to nature. And for some people, it is also a place to experience strong feelings.
As great as the idea is, there is no word yet on whether or not construction will commence on this hotel. So, stay tuned for more updates on this unique hotel.
