Obidos, about an hour and a half drive northwest of Lisbon, is home to about 3,000 people. There are very few hotels in Obidos, built in the Middle Ages, and the Literary Man Hotel is one of them.
In fact, the entire Literary Man Hotel is a bookstore and the owners and staff are very appreciative of their book collection. You can see books stacked up everywhere in the hotel, taking up almost every inch of the walls.

According to the hotel's owners, they boast a collection of over 45,000 books. When they opened their doors to guests last October, the hotel set a goal of having 100,000 books by the end of the year. There's something for every book lover: from classic literature to recipe books, fantasy stories, fictional stories, historical excavations, and books introducing destinations around the world...

The hotel is not only attractive because of its book collection, but also because of its location. During the day, visitors can visit Obidos, stroll along the ancient streets, choose a typical local drink to enjoy or shop for unique products made by local artisans.

Literary Man Hotel is located right on the main road, very convenient for tourists who want to go out or interact with the locals. When the sun sets, tourists will return to the hotel to find new interesting things.

The cocktail lounge and restaurant, where every cocktail or dish is named after a literary legend, with comfortable leather chairs and soft lighting, is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy their free time with a favorite book in hand. If you want to treat yourself to a solo dinner at the restaurant, a book will be the perfect companion.
