Food design studio Bompas & Parr has created the "world's first" vegan retreat room inside a London hotel, omitting the use of leather, wool, and feathers throughout its interior. Pinatex, a vegan-friendly leather substitute – made from fibers derived from discarded pineapple leaves – was used to design the room's interior.

The suite features a large bedroom, a living area, and a bathroom, with refreshing green nature imagery decorating the gray walls. The carpet material has also been replaced with cotton instead of the usual wool. Feather pillow fillings have been replaced with buckwheat hulls or millet and fibers from tropical kapok or bamboo.

Completely furnished with plant-based materials, this unique hotel room was created by Bompas & Parr to demonstrate that vegetarianism is not just a dietary trend, but can also influence lifestyles in general.

This exceptional five-star hotel room is available at the Hilton London Bankside, on Great Suffolk Road, near Southbank Tube and River Thames stations. The room rate is £549, or approximately 17 million VND per night.

All snacks, stationery, and cleaning products used by housekeeping staff also "say no" to animal-derived ingredients.

This isn't the first time Bompas & Parr has worked with eco-friendly materials. In 2016, the company used bioluminescent algae to create a collection of jewelry that glows in the dark.
Most recently, designers have been working to create the "world's first non-melting ice cube," amid global warming and the growing need to keep food fresh for longer.
