APT members work at the American Soldiers Memorial
The first discovery of the day was the Philippine American War Memorial, a lush, peaceful and artistic space overlooking Manila in the distance. The memorial was given by the Philippines to the Americans to honor the soldiers who helped liberate the Philippines during World War II when they were occupied by the Japanese.

The next destination is Global City - known as the new city of Manila with a series of skyscrapers, shopping centers, complexes,... where 15 years ago was just an empty lot.

Here, the group members had a very interesting experience, visiting two destinations together: Serendra and Market Market. These are the two first places built in this New City, and are also the gateway to the New City.

Young writer Trang Ha, a member of the group, shared: “This was a day that could not have been more wonderful for me, starting with a sunrise stepping into the swimming pool in the middle of the Manila sky in my favorite tankini. After that, I went out to flirt with a police officer in Bonifacio Global City, asking him to lend me the city police Honda as a photo prop.”
