In the near future, Oxalis Adventure Tour Company will coordinate with Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park to officially launch the tour "Conquering Son Doong, the world's largest cave" in early 2015.
The pilot program of the tourist route “Conquering Son Doong, the world’s largest cave” has been approved to be implemented with 2 types of expedition tours with 6 days 5 nights and 4 days 3 nights. The cost of the Son Doong tour is 3,000 USD/tourist.Summarizing the trial tour to explore Son Doong cave, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province assessed this as a successful trial program and is preparing to officially operate the tour early next year.
If the project is officially approved by Quang Binh province, in 2015, the Son Doong discovery tour will take place from early January 2015 until August 2015. It is estimated that there will be about 8 tours per month and each tour will have about 10 tourists. Detailed information about the Son Doong discovery tour is expected to be provided to tourists in November 2014.
After 8 months of testing, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board and Oxalis Company have coordinated and successfully organized 32 tours "Conquering Son Doong, the world's largest cave" with 243 visitors from 34 countries.
