In the near future, Oxalis Adventure Tour Company, in collaboration with Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, will develop a plan to officially launch the "Conquering Son Doong, the world's largest cave" tour in early 2015.
The pilot program for the "Conquering Son Doong, the world's largest cave" tour has been approved for implementation, offering two types of expedition tours: 6 days and 5 nights, and 4 days and 3 nights. The cost of the Son Doong tour is $3,000 per person.In summary, regarding the trial tour of Son Doong cave, the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee assessed it as a successful pilot program and is preparing to officially launch the tour at the beginning of next year.
If the project is officially approved by Quang Binh province, the Son Doong cave exploration tour will take place from the beginning of January 2015 to August 2015. It is estimated that there will be about 8 tours per month, with approximately 10 tourists per tour. Detailed information about the Son Doong cave exploration tour is expected to be provided to tourists in November 2014.
After 8 months of testing, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board and Oxalis company successfully organized and implemented 32 tours titled "Conquering Son Doong, the world's largest cave," attracting 243 visitors from 34 countries.
