Experience La Son – Tuy Loan, the most beautiful new highway in Central Vietnam.

The La Son – Tuy Loan Expressway has a total length of 77.5 km, including 36 bridges and underpasses; its starting point is at the La Son intersection (Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province) – connecting to the end of the Cam Lo – La Son Expressway; and its end point is at the Tuy Loan interchange (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang) – connecting to the beginning of the Da Nang – Quang Ngai Expressway. Conquering this scenic route is an experience worth trying for road trip enthusiasts.

To access the La Son – Tuy Loan expressway, travelers can take the Hue – Da Nang bypass or depart from the center of Hue city. Choosing this route will add 20 km to Da Nang compared to National Highway 1A; however, going to Hoi An Ancient Town will shorten the distance by 10 km.

Currently, the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway does not have toll collection points. If you choose the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway to travel from Hue to Da Nang or vice versa, you will save approximately 110,000 VND per trip because you will not have to stop for toll collection when passing through the Hai Van tunnel.

If you're an adventurous traveler, this is exactly the route you should experience when visiting Central Vietnam. Throughout the 66 km La Son - Hoa Lien journey (as only phase 1 is currently under development), you'll be able to enjoy the picturesque scenery of mountains, rivers, and sky. Along the route, many natural streams gently flow along the hills and mountains, or babble beneath small bridges, creating breathtakingly beautiful and romantic landscapes.

The highlight of this journey is undoubtedly the stretch through Bach Ma National Park. The park embraces the entire road, offering a refreshing coolness that dispels the heat and fatigue of the scorching days in Central Vietnam. The biodiverse forest with its stunning scenery will surely leave you with unforgettable memories.

The breathtaking scenery captured from the drone, with its wide-angle view, encompasses the lush green landscape of trees, interspersed with gently flowing rivers and streams. It's a pity that there are no rest stops along this route, so you can only admire the view while driving, and cannot stop to explore the surroundings.

Currently, the highway lacks streetlights and median barriers, so travelers should only use it during the day when the weather is sunny and dry. You may need to consider carefully before choosing this route during the rainy season, as some areas still pose a risk of landslides. Additionally, you should refuel before embarking on this journey as there are no gas stations or rest stops along the way.

You need to be aware of the many hairpin bends that obscure visibility. Even though the highway has relatively little traffic, you shouldn't be complacent because there are still some bumpy sections due to the terrain. With the Range Rover Sport, every journey is smooth; the vehicle handles the difficulties of conquering challenging terrain with ease. Therefore, even when driving over bumpy sections, you don't need to worry because the vibrations are significantly reduced.

Currently, we can only experience the road according to the standards of a Class 3 road with 2 lanes, a road surface width of 12 meters, and a design speed of 60-80 km/h. Motorcycles are not allowed to travel on it.

When traveling on this route, you need to be especially careful not to exceed the speed limit. You should also be cautious while driving because there are currently many sections of road where there is no signal at all, making it impossible to contact emergency services. Of the 8 Viettel base stations planned to be installed on this highway, only 3 have been put into operation, while the remaining 5 are still awaiting approval.
