Mercedes-Benz Fascination 2019

The 9th Fascination event has the theme "Emotions".

The annual Mercedes-Benz Fascination exhibition will take place at the International Exhibition Center, Hanoi (ICE) from July 10-14, 2019. With the theme “Emotions,” the event will portray the four humanistic principles that the Mercedes-Benz brand strives for: Respect, Love, Trust, and Ease. Four flagship models of MBV, including the C-/E-/S-Class and GLC, will embody each personality in familiar settings. A large “catwalk” will be designed to place guests at the center amidst the movement of 15 different car models. Each car will be presented alongside colorful fashion collections by designer Adrian Anh Tuan.

Besides the "Respect," "Love," "Trust," and "Ease" display areas, Fascination 2019 also features a dedicated area for ladies called "She's Mercedes," a VIP area, a corporate client area, a children's corner, and a digital interactive zone. Notably, MBV designed a dedicated area for certified pre-owned vehicles called "Mercedes-Benz Certified," showcasing many "like-new" models at extremely attractive prices with transparent service histories.

MBV is showcasing 44 different car models at Fascination 2019, including 22 display vehicles, 14 test drive vehicles for customers to experience, and 8 certified pre-owned vehicles. MBV appoints new General Director effective July 1, 2019.

Effective July 1st, 2019, Mr. Brad Kelly will officially become the General Director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam. Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Kelly served as Sales Director of Mercedes-Benz Australia & New Zealand from 2014, helping to increase sales in this market from 28,000 to 40,000 vehicles. In 2015, the Australia & New Zealand market won the "Market of Excellence" award from Mercedes-Benz globally and achieved significant sales success with its high-performance AMG models between 2015 and 2018.

Mr. Kelly began working at Daimler Group in 2008 as a Senior Sales Manager, specializing in corporate clients. Prior to that, he had a long management career at a multinational corporation specializing in vehicle leasing. Brad Kelly will be working at the Mercedes-Benz Vietnam office in Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City.

The new E-Class: Widening the performance gap with the competition.

The E-Class is currently the most popular mid-size luxury car in the Vietnamese market. However, MBV proactively upgrades the E-Class to create more value for customers and enhance its competitiveness. In April 2018, the E 200/E 250 versions received an updated 12.3-inch infotainment screen with HD display quality and a Vietnamese interface for user-friendliness. In early 2019, the E-Class versions were also equipped with new wheels and a redesigned steering wheel. At Fascination 2019, MBV unveiled the new E-Class in three versions: E 200, E 200 Sport, and E 350 AMG.

The most significant upgrade for the E 200 & E 200 Sport lies under the hood with the new generation M264 engine. This 2.0L inline four-cylinder engine utilizes twin-scroll turbocharging, producing 197 horsepower—13 horsepower more than the previous E 200 model—allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds. This means the E 200 & E 200 Sport are 15% more powerful and have 20% more torque than their direct competitors.

Not only powerful, the E 200 Sport also boasts a sporty appearance, true to its name. It comes with the SPORTSTYLE exterior package, “SPORTSTYLE” badges on both sides, and 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels. The interior features carbon fiber-patterned aluminum trim and black wood trim with raised grain, creating an interesting contrast. The E 200 Sport offers maximum comfort for passengers with a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, a 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system, and the intelligent AIR BALANCE air purification system.

E 350 AMG - 299 horsepower + EQ Boost = Absolutely stunning!

The E 350 AMG is the top-of-the-line version of the E-Class in Vietnam and also the most powerful mid-size luxury sedan distributed in the country. The E 350 AMG is equipped with an EQ Boost mild-hybrid engine, inspired by the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 racing cars. This system comprises two main components: a 48V generator/starter and a 48V battery pack. The 48V generator is directly connected to the engine via a drive belt, while the 48V battery pack is located at the rear and powers the vehicle's 12V electrical amenities via a power converter.

When the vehicle needs to accelerate, the generator provides an additional 13.5 hp and 150 Nm of torque for a certain period, helping the gasoline engine eliminate lag and quickly reach the ideal engine speed each time a gear is shifted. The advantage of the 48V generator is that the 150 Nm of torque intervenes immediately and without delay. The seamless and intelligent coordination between the gasoline engine and the 48V generator gives the driver confidence in the vehicle's power, especially when accelerating and decelerating frequently.

The E 350 AMG's base engine is already very powerful, delivering 299 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm from its 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged engine, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. With the added 150 Nm from the generator, the car is always ready to accelerate instantly with every press of the accelerator. The E 350 AMG will be produced in a limited run of only 48 units for the Vietnamese market.

Customers can choose from four exterior colors: Polar White, Obsidian Black, Hyacinth Red, and Cavansite Blue, along with two interior color options: Black and Saddle Brown. Each version comes with a unique premium wood trim design, meticulously researched and color-coordinated by Mercedes-Benz experts. Specifically, the E 200 uses embossed ash wood in a golden brown color; the E 200 Sport uses carbon fiber-patterned aluminum trim in metallic silver; and the E 350 AMG uses metallic gray fiber trim.

The E-Class has always been renowned for its luxury, comfort, and superior safety. Now, the E-Class is even more powerful and sporty than ever, with an extremely attractive price compared to its specifications and features. The car comes with a 3-year nationwide manufacturer's warranty, which can be extended to 5 years.

GLC: Reaches 8,000 units sold at Fascination 2019

Officially introduced in Vietnam by MBV in late April 2016 with two versions, the GLC 250 and GLC 300, this SUV has always attracted special attention from customers and set unprecedented sales records in the luxury car market. The Fascination 2019 exhibition is expected to welcome the 8,000th customer of this SUV. On this occasion, GLC owners can come to the exhibition to share their stories and photos of their vehicles at the "GLC Wall".

Despite being the last model to be launched, the GLC 200 quickly won over many customers. Many customers chose the GLC 200 as their first car. More than half of GLC 200 owners upgraded from mainstream CUV/SUV brands.
