The 9th Fascination with the theme “Emotions”

The annual Mercedes-Benz Fascination exhibition will take place at the International Exhibition Center, Hanoi (ICE) from July 10-14, 2019. With the theme "Emotions", the event will depict the four humanistic principles that the Mercedes-Benz brand aims for: Respect, Love, Trust and Ease. Four key models of MBV including C-/E-/S-Class and GLC will "transform" into each personality in familiar contexts with customers. A large "catwalk" will be designed to put guests in the center of the movement of 15 different car models. Each car model will be introduced with colorful fashion collections by designer Adrian Anh Tuan.

In addition to the "Respect", "Love", "Trust" and "Ease" exhibition booths, Fascination 2019 also has a dedicated area for ladies "She's Mercedes", a VIP area, a Corporate Customer area, a children's corner and a Digital interactive area. Notably, MBV designed a separate area for genuine used cars "Mercedes-Benz Certified", displaying many "like new" car models but with extremely attractive selling prices and transparent service history.

MBV brings to Fascination 2019 44 different car models on display, including 22 display cars, 14 test drive cars for customers to experience and 8 genuine used cars. MBV appoints new General Director from July 1, 2019

From July 1, 2019, Mr. Brad Kelly will officially become the General Director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam. Before taking office, Mr. Kelly held the position of Sales Director of Mercedes-Benz Australia & New Zealand since 2014, helping the sales of this market grow from 28,000 vehicles to 40,000 vehicles. In 2015, the Australian & New Zealand market won the “Excellent Market” award from Mercedes-Benz Global and achieved many sales achievements with high-performance AMG vehicles in the period 2015 - 2018.

Mr. Kelly joined Daimler in 2008 as Senior Sales Manager, Corporate Clients. Prior to that, he had a long management career at a multinational car rental company. Brad Kelly will be based at the Mercedes-Benz Vietnam office in Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City.

New E-Class: Widening the performance gap with rivals

The E-Class is currently the most popular mid-size luxury car in the Vietnamese market. However, MBV is always proactive in upgrading to create more value for customers and enhance the competitiveness of the E-Class. In April 2018, the E 200/E 250 versions were updated with a new 12.3-inch entertainment screen, HD display quality and Vietnamese interface to bring friendliness during operation. In early 2019, the E-Class versions were also equipped with new rims and steering wheel designs. At Fascination 2019, MBV introduced the new E-Class with 3 versions, including the E 200, E 200 Sport and E 350 AMG.

The most valuable upgrade of the E 200 & E 200 Sport is under the hood with the new generation of engines coded M264. The 2.0 L inline 4-cylinder engine uses twin-scroll turbocharging, producing 197 horsepower, 13 horsepower more than the previous E 200 version, helping the car accelerate to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds. Thus, the E 200 & E 200 Sport is 15% more powerful and 20% more torque than its direct competitors.

Not only powerful, the E 200 Sport also has an extremely sporty appearance, true to its name. The car comes with the SPORTSTYLE exterior package, the "SPORTSTLYLE" badge on both sides of the body and 18-inch 5-spoke propeller-shaped wheels. The car's interior is covered with carbon-grain aluminum, combined with embossed black wood, creating an interesting contrast. The E 200 Sport brings maximum comfort to passengers with a super-wide panoramic sunroof, 360-degree panoramic camera, 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system and AIR BALANCE smart air filtration system.

E 350 AMG - 299 HORSEPOWER + EQ BOOST = OVERWHELMING!

The E 350 AMG is the most advanced version of the E-Class in Vietnam and is also the most powerful mid-size luxury sedan distributed in Vietnam. The E 350 AMG is equipped with a mild-hybrid EQ Boost engine, inspired by the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 racing car. This system consists of two main components: a 48V generator and a 48V battery. The 48V generator is connected directly to the engine via a drive belt, while the 48V battery is located at the rear and supplies power to 12V electrical utilities on the car via a power converter.

When the vehicle needs to accelerate, the generator will provide an additional 13.5 hp and 150 Nm of torque for a certain period of time, helping the gasoline engine eliminate lag and quickly reach the ideal rpm every time it shifts gears. The advantage of the 48V generator is that the 150 Nm torque will intervene immediately and without delay. The smooth and intelligent coordination between the gasoline engine and the 48V generator helps the driver always feel confident in the vehicle's power, especially when having to accelerate and decelerate continuously.

The base engine of the E 350 AMG is also very powerful, providing 299 horsepower and a maximum torque of up to 400 Nm from the 2.0 L twin-scroll turbocharged engine, helping the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. With the support of 150 Nm from the generator, the car is always waiting to break away in a split second with each press of the accelerator. The E 350 AMG will be produced in a limited quantity of only 48 cars in the Vietnamese market.

Customers can choose from four exterior colors including Polar White, Obsidian Black, Hyacinth Red and Cavansite Blue, along with two interior colors: Black and Saddle Brown. Each version comes with a separate premium wood panel design, carefully researched and coordinated by Mercedes-Benz experts. In particular, the E 200 version uses embossed ash wood with golden brown color; E 200 Sport uses carbon-grain aluminum panel with metallic silver color; E 350 AMG uses metal fiber panel with metallic gray color.

The E-Class is famous for its luxury, comfort and outstanding safety. Now, the E-Class is more powerful and sporty than ever, with an extremely attractive price compared to the configuration and equipment. The car is covered by a 3-year nationwide genuine warranty and can be extended to 5 years.

GLC: Reached 8,000 cars at Fascination 2019

Officially introduced in Vietnam for the first time at the end of April 2016 with 2 versions GLC 250 and GLC 300, this SUV model has always received special attention from customers and created "unprecedented" sales records in the luxury car market. The Fascination 2019 exhibition is expected to welcome the 8,000th customer of this SUV model. On this occasion, GLC car owners can come to the exhibition to share their stories and images of their cars at the "GLC Wall".

Although it was launched last, the GLC 200 version quickly won the sympathy of many customers. Many customers chose to buy the GLC 200 as their first car. More than half of the customers who own the GLC 200 upgraded from popular CUV/SUV brands.
