Mercedes-Benz is pioneering efforts to connect and expand the golf community in Vietnam.

This is the 17th time this prestigious tournament has been organized by Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV). The 2019 Final Round promises to be even more exciting with a larger scale and the largest number of Hole-in-One (HiO) prizes ever, including 7 Mercedes-Benz cars and 41 prizes from partners with a total value of nearly 30 billion VND.

Celebrating 30 years of the world's largest corporate golf tournament, the MercedesTrophy.

The MercedesTrophy is the world's largest corporate golf tournament, with 30 years of history and development. It's a sporting event exclusively for golfers who are Mercedes-Benz customers and invited guests who share a passion for golf. The MercedesTrophy has been held in Vietnam since 2002 and has become a familiar event for the Vietnamese golfing community. Each year, approximately 5,000 golfers compete in qualifying rounds to earn an honorary invitation to the national finals. Considering the number of participants and the scale of the qualifying rounds, the MercedesTrophy is the largest corporate golf tournament in Vietnam.

Officially launched in August 2018, the 17th MercedesTrophy Vietnam season attracted over 5,000 golfers nationwide competing in 23 qualifying rounds. Besides high-quality professional tournaments, MBV has aimed for a geographically widespread and impactful qualifying system. Furthermore, MBV has also provided significant support to charity golf tournaments, bringing valuable benefits to the community. MBV also sponsored 37 Mercedes-Benz vehicles for the Hole-in-One prizes in this year's qualifying rounds to enhance the tournament's appeal.

To enhance the quality of the tournament, this year's Final will be officiated by Level 3 International referees from the R&A/USGA (Royal & Ancient/United States Golf Association). The referee panel will survey the course and carry out marking work, subsequently issuing the tournament's own Local Rules.

Over 220 golfers are divided into two groups: the High Achievement group (from 23 qualifying rounds) and the Invited Group. The High Achievement group will have four divisions: A, B, C, and Women's. The Invited Group will have three divisions: A, B, and C. Each group will have one Best Gross award (best actual score). Each division will have the top three rankings (based on stroke count and handicap). In addition, there will be eight Nearest to the Pin awards, two Longest Drive awards, and two Nearest to the Line awards. In total, there will be 23 performance awards and 12 technical awards.

As is customary, the MercedesTrophy Vietnam National Finals 2019 will select 7 outstanding golfers to represent Vietnam at the MercedesTrophy Asia Finals 2019 in Australia in August 2019, and the best golfer will advance to the MercedesTrophy World Finals 2019 in Germany in October 2019. All round-trip business class airfare to Australia and Germany will be covered by Vietnam Airlines and MBV.

The mission of MercedesTrophy is not simply to create a playing field exclusively for Mercedes-Benz owners, but also to support the development of this prestigious sport in Vietnam and further expand the golf community. Currently, the "Three-pointed Star" logo is present and partnered with 80% of golf courses nationwide. In 2018 alone, in addition to the 23 national qualifying and final tournaments, MBV also partnered with and sponsored Hole-in-One events for over 50 different golf tournaments.

- Golfer Do Thanh Trung successfully executed an Albatross Hole-in-One at hole number 3, course B, Tan Son Nhat Golf Course, with a distance of 292 yards - a very rare shot in the history of this prestigious sport.

- Seven representatives from Vietnam will participate in the MercedesTrophy Asia finals in Australia in August 2019:
