The purpose of the Hue Kite Festival 2019 is to affirm the title of Hue - Festival city of Vietnam, gradually build the image of Hue - festival capital, transform from a cultural brand into a prestigious tourism brand, with strong appeal, attracting tourists. Besides, this is also an opportunity to enhance and diversify tourism activities in Thua Thien Hue province, introduce unique festivals, new and creative forms of tourism experiences to tourists; create opportunities for tourism service businesses to introduce products as well as connect economic sectors to participate in creating common tourism products for Thua Thien Hue province.
The art kite exhibition will last for 7 days, including activities such as: arranging and displaying art kites to create a new and attractive space; exhibitions according to installation art with content; performing kite making art, instructions on the steps to create a complete kite.
On this occasion, visitors will also be able to participate in sideline activities such as folk games, basic kite assembly competitions, kite painting competitions with the theme "Childhood Dreams" are also held. Most notably, the artistic kite flying performance will take place at Ngo Mon Square, on the afternoons of June 8-9 (from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
