The 8th Hue Traditional Craft Festival features 16 craft groups: Embroidery, Jewelry, Fine Woodworking, Bronze, Pottery, Conical Hats, Paper Flowers, Calligraphy, Painting, Kites, Weaving and Sewing, Bamboo and Rattan Crafts, Enamelware, Incense, Essential Oils, Lion and Dragon Dance, and products with long-standing brands and traditions. The festival includes participation from 60 craft villages and establishments, and over 350 folk artisans, outstanding artisans, and master craftsmen from famous craft villages across the country: Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Ninh Thuan, Dong Thap, Hung Yen, and Thua Thien Hue.

One of the new features at the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019 is that the Organizing Committee will introduce unique products from traditional craft villages and the traditional medicine sector characteristic of Hue. The event will also include opportunities for traditional medicine practitioners to provide medical examinations and treatment, as well as showcase their skills.
This is the 8th time the Hue Traditional Craft Festival has been held.
This year's Festival was attended by 17 international delegations and 10 international cities and organizations, including those from Japan, South Korea, China, and Türkiye. Among them, 7 cities have sister city relationships or partnerships with Hue City, and 3 professional associations and businesses from Japan, South Korea, China, Brazil, and Turkey participated, with 70 artisans in attendance: Takayama, Sasayama, Saijo (Japan); Gyeongju, Namyangju, Dongnae (South Korea); Konya (Turkey); the Korean Traditional Crafts Association; Cheongju Craft Museum (South Korea); and Lu Shun Da Zi Sha Company (Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, China).
The Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019 took place from April 26th to May 2nd, 2019.
To ensure the smooth running of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019, the Organizing Committee directed the police forces and relevant departments to develop a plan to ensure the festival's absolute safety. The opening ceremony stage and welcoming art program were meticulously arranged and prepared according to the planned content. This is also an opportunity for the locality to attract more tourists. Many tours to locations participating in the Festival, such as experiences in ancient villages, cultural and spiritual tourism, and visits to temples, pagodas, and tombs, are being organized, promising to attract the attention of many international tourists.
